Sample Itinerary: Amrut and Paul John

​

Day 1

Land in Bangalore to a warm welcome by The Whisky Advisor. Transfer to hotel and rest a bit after your long journey. Get driven around Bangalore for a short orientation to one of India’s largest and fastest growing cities. Wind down with early dinner and drinks as tomorrow is a big day!

 

Day 2

Leave to Amrut distillery after a hearty breakfast at your hotel. Be guided through the tour of the new distillery, cooperage and warehouse before convening at the visitor centre for a dram and conversations.

Visit Big Banyan Wines, an award winning winery from the Paul John Group for a gourmet lunch paired with wines.

Transfer to the hotel and rest up as there’s a big evening in store. There will be a special whisky tasting that we are sure you won’t forget. Whisky and dinner will make for a wonderful evening.

Day 3

Spend the day exploring the city of Bangalore, its history and cuisine with an expert guide. Lunch will be at a quintessentially South Indian restaurant. Transfer back to the hotel and rest up before a fun evening spent pub hopping in the pub and craft beer capital of India.

Day 4

Transfer to the airport after breakfast. Land in Goa and get whisked away directly to the quaint streets of Fontainhas in Panjim. You will go on a walking tour through these historic streets and enjoy some wonderful cocktails in the bargain. Transfer to your comfortable hotel after the festivities as tomorrow is another big day.

Day 5

Head to Paul John distillery after a hearty breakfast at your hotel. Be guided through the Paul John distillery and end with a wonderful tasting with all the core and cask strength whiskies in the Paul John range. We’ll make sure we get a couple of special drams there.

Leave Paul John distillery in high spirits and head to a reputed local whisky store for some Indian whisky shopping. Travel on then to the only Feni cellar in Goa. Enjoy a tour around the rustic farm distillery at the Cazulo farm and be treated to music and a delicious Goan feast.

 

Day 6

Spend the day exploring the churches and history of Old Goa, the beautiful Portuguese architecture of the capital, Panjim, guided by an expert guide. Travel to the North Goa to visit a microbrewery built in a 250 year old Goan home. The day will merge into the evening at a taphouse serving all the famous Goan brews and spirits.

Day 7

This is a day of leisure to relax in your hotel. If you’d like to shop, visit the beach or anything at all, we can arrange it for you.

 

Day 8

Transfer to Goa airport and head back home with wonderful memories of India and a few whiskies to share with your friends back home, of course.
