Established in 2012, The Whisky Ambassador programme is the original accredited Scotch Whisky training course. Having been established for a number of years in Scotland, the Whisky Ambassador’s emphasis on immersive and interactive learning has seen our courses rapidly expand to spread intimate knowledge of Scotch whisky across 22 countries and six continents.

The Whisky Advisor is the premier training partner for The Whisky Ambassador in India.

The programme is accredited by BIIAB, the UK’s leading provider of qualifications for the licensed trade.

The 1 Day course covers the following topics

 

  • Scotch Whisky History

  • Scotch Whisky Economics

  • How whisky is made

  • Understanding the Scotch Whisky regions

  • Nosing and tasting of Scotch whiskies

  • Sales and customer service

  • Intro to other world whiskies - Canadian, Irish, American and Japanese

  • Practical and written exams

Our 2 Day programme combines the 1 Day Whisky Ambassador certification course with a visit to the Paul John Distillery & Visitor Centre on Day 2. The Distillery Tour & Tasting is specifically tailored for Whisky Ambassador Delegates.

Fees: Rs. 30,000 + GST

Itinerary 

​

Day 1: 9AM - 6PM: Course & Certification
Day 2: 9AM - 9PM*: Travel from Meeting Point in Panjim to Distillery; Distillery Tour & Tasting; Visit to Bar SOGO

​

Included: Whisky Ambassador Course & Certification, Paul John Distillery Tour & Tasting specifically tailored for Whisky Ambassador Delegates and Return Trip from Panjim to Paul John Distillery (100km round trip)
Not Included: Accommodation, Other Transport, Meals, Drinks, SOGO food & drink and any other expenses not mentioned as included
